How to check a service provider, collect the correct maintenance information and prepare a useful repair request before exporting a Li Auto. No universal service interval or overseas warranty is assumed.
1. Build a vehicle-specific service file
Start with the VIN, model year, trim, mileage, original sales market and software build. Keep the matching owner manual, delivery inspection and previous service invoices together. L6–L9 extended-range vehicles and i6, i8 and MEGA battery-electric vehicles should not inherit the same checklist automatically. Ask the workshop which parts of your exact powertrain it can maintain and how it obtains current technical information.
2. Verify the workshop before relying on its name
A search result labelled Li Auto service center does not establish manufacturer authorisation or support for your imported version. Ask for the business identity, the scope of work, diagnostic capability and written terms for parts and labour. Check separately who handles high-voltage work and how a disabled vehicle would reach the premises. Obtain a named contact and a written estimate before booking significant work.
3. Request the applicable maintenance schedule
Request the schedule and inspection items for the actual vehicle, including time-based and distance-based requirements where specified. Have the workshop identify required fluids, filters and replacement parts from the correct reference. Do not use a generic internet interval as an instruction for every Li Auto. If a source covers another country, year or battery, keep that limitation beside the proposed work and resolve it before authorisation.
4. Separate daily checks from workshop servicing
The cited L8 2025 manual includes pre-drive checks of lights, visibility, warnings and a clear pedal area. These checks are a useful daily habit, not evidence that scheduled servicing has been completed. For the other models, consult their own manuals. Keep any unusual warning or new symptom in the service file, with the date and circumstances, so the workshop can assess it alongside the maintenance history.
5. Send evidence and agree the support scope
A useful repair request states what happened, when it began, whether it repeats and the exact warning text. Add clear photos or video while stationary; avoid publishing account credentials. Ask for diagnosis before assuming a part needs replacement. Before export, agree separately on local labour, parts sourcing, transport and any paid coordination. YUTAI’s sourcing enquiry does not create manufacturer warranty abroad or a guaranteed local repair network.
